Ingredients of Brett Elliot’s Herbal Slim Kit

Here is a breakdown of the ingredients in each product:

Thermaid 120caps

Balancing metabolic rate (energy requirement) with energy intake (food).  Helps burn more calories than you take in.

Black pepper (Piper nigrum) Thermogenic spice

Two of black pepper’s natural constituents, bioperine and piperine, are highly effective for weight maintenance. Piper nigrum was recently studied with several mechanisms suggested that resulted in weight loss. Do not confuse black pepper with BZP (benzyldipiperazine) which is a synthetic substance. Many manufacturers claim BZP to come from the natural source of black pepper but this is false. The Herbal Slim Kit contains black pepper NOT BZP.

Bioperine has a thermogenic effect and thus maintains the body’s energy expenditure. Research has shown that alkamides taken from the fruit of piper nigrum inhibit a fat storage enzyme called diacylglycerol acyltransferase (DAGT). Inhibiting the action of this hormone means less body fat. Piper nigrum is also proven to improve the absorption of nutrients in the intestine, which is necessary for keeping a healthy metabolic state. Many nutritional substances are required by the body to assist in normal weight control. If they are being taken into the body they are going to work better, of course.

Guarana (Paullinia cupana) Energy Expert

The indigenous people of the Amazon rain forest used crushed guarana seed as a beverage and a medicine. Guarana was used by them to treat diarrhoea, decrease fatigue, reduce hunger, and to help arthritis. The herb guarana contains a caffeine-like substance and the closely related alkaloids theobromine and theophylline; these compounds support a normal appetite and healthy weight. Guarana’s effects are well known including its effect on the central nervous system stimulation, and therefore metabolic rate as well as maintaining both physical and mental performance.

Bitter orange (Citrus aurantium) Energy and thermogenic support

The weight loss effects attributed to this ingredient stem from the stimulating effects of the alkaloid, synephrine. There are now at least two clinical studies showing that synephrine-containing supplements help promote healthy weight. At least three clinical studies show that it supports thermogenesis and calorie expenditure. There is a great deal of research currently underway into the weight loss benefits of synephrine and supplements with related thermogenic effects, leading researchers in the Department of Physiology at Georgetown University to conclude that “Citrus aurantium may be the best thermogenic substitute for ephedra.”

Green Tea (Camellia sinensis) Fat cutter

Research has shown that green tea supports thermogenesis. This is attributed to the catechins, which have thermogenic merits. Green tea extract maintains norepinephrine, which is an important hormone responsible for the breakdown of body fat. Green tea can also inhibit enzymes necessary for fat digestion.

Hydroxycitrate complex (Garcinia combogia) Appetite suppressant

Garcinia cambogia is the fruit of the garcinia tree also known as Brindleberry, grown in southern India. Hydroxycitric acid (HCA), is the active ingredient of Brindleberry, and is synthesized from the rind of the fruit. HCA is a substance which has been studied extensively for more than two decades.

Various studies have shown that HCA supports the liver in its role of fat digestion and sugar storage, helping to maintain normal appetite and bodyweight. HCA also supports thermogenesis during which extra calories are consumed. Research has found that HCA supports energy expenditure, normal appetite, maintains cholesterol and also the amount of fat synthesized from excess carbohydrate calories.

Ginger (zingiber officinale) Rapid relief

Ginger root supports the absorption and effect of other herbs and foods that are taken with it. It supports comfortable digestive function. The pungent content in Ginger maintains the activity of the digestive tract and is particularly helpful in digesting rich, fatty foods.

Cayenne (Capsicum annuum) Metabolic booster

Cayenn increases leptin, the hormone that decreases appetite and causes the storage of glucose into fat cells. Cayenne also reduces ghrelin. This is the hormone produced by the stomach which is a potent appetite stimulant.  Cayenne is also a digestive stimulant and is know to stimulate carbohydrate metabolism at rest and during exercise, resulting in more energy and less fat deposts.

Satisfed 120 caps

Blood sugar maintenance, giving a steady level of fuel to the cells and controlling appetite and cravings.

Caralluma (Caralluma fimbriata) Craving cutter

Caralluma fimbriata is essentially a vegetable of daily use in India. It is eaten in numerous forms. It is cooked as a regular vegetable with spices and salt. Indians chew chunks of Caralluma to suppress hunger when on a day long hunt. This cactus is used among the working classes in southern India to suppress appetite and enhance endurance. The effect of Caralluma extract was assessed in overweight individuals by a placebo controlled randomized trial. 50 adult men and women (25-60 years) with a body mass index (BMI) greater than 25 were chosen. They received 1gm of Caralluma extract per day for sixty days. Caralluma fimbriata extract appeared to suppress appetite, and reduce waist circumference over a two month timeframe. Caralluma is included in Satisfed capsules to support a more normal appetite for those who find it difficult to cut down.

Gymnema (Gymnema sylvestre) Sugar stopper

The hypoglycaemic (blood sugar lowering) effect of gymnema has been known for centuries. Modern scientific methods have isolated at least nine different gymnemic acids which possess hypoglycaemic activity. The effect of gymnema extract on lowering blood levels of glucose, cholesterol and triglycerides is fairly gradual – typically taking a few days to several weeks. Balanced blood sugars are crucial for reducing the formation of fat in the body because when blood sugars are raised your body is more likely to store this excess fuel as fat.

Chromium (Chromium polynicotinate) Sugar regulator

Chromium is very useful for weight loss and muscle growth and as a supplement that helps maintain a correct fat to muscle ratio. In the early 1990s, several small studies suggested that athletes undergoing weight-training programs lost more fat and gained more muscle when they took daily supplements of 200 micrograms of chromium. One of chromium’s roles in the body, is to help keep insulin levels within the normal range. Insulin, regulates blood sugar and fat levels, and it stimulates protein synthesis in muscles. Insulin also boosts carbohydrate metabolism, causing the body to burn glucose rather than store it as body fat. The body needs chromium for correct insulin function and blood sugar control.

We use chromium polynicotinate which is a picolinic acid bounded with chromium. It is more effective than any other type of chromium bounded acid because it binds the elemental chromium to niacin. This is more absorbable in the body.

Wholefood 120caps

Rich nutrient levels to keep the body nourished and help reduce cravings.

Barley grass (Hordeum vulgare) Protein grass

Young barley grass contains perhaps the most balanced nutrient profile of all green plants, with an abundance of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, amino acids, proteins, active enzymes, and chlorophyll. This green grass is anutritious food unlike any other on earth. The juice from this nutrient rich grass contains 11 times the calcium in cow’s milk, nearly 5 times the iron in spinach, 7 times the vitamin C in oranges, and also contains B vitamins including vitamin B12. Barley grass contains many antioxidants which are known to protect the body from free-radical damage.

Kelp (Macrocystis pyrifera) Thyroid support

Kelp, is one of the most nutrient-rich aquatic plants known to man. It is exceptionally high in all major minerals, particularly iodine, bromine, calcium, potassium, magnesium, and iron, is rich in trace minerals such as manganese, copper, zinc, and chromium. Iodine (high in kelp) is used by the thyroid, helping to boost metabolic rate. Kelp is rich in B-complex vitamins in addition to vitamins A and E. It also contains vitamin K.

Beetroot (Beta vulgaris-cicla) Iron source

The dark red beetroot is a nutrient-rich food. Natural sugars, starches, and gum, make beetroot an energy source, as well as a source of soluble fibre. Beetroot contains iron, potassium and folic acid. Iron is at the centre of the haemoglobin molecule, the red pigment in the red blood cells that is responsible for transporting oxygen around the body. By supporting the blood and therefore improving oxygen supply to all the body’s cells, beetroot may help reduce cravings

Alfalfa (Medicago sativa) Superfood

Alfalfa’s roots grow deep into the earth making it one of nature’s richest mineral sources. Alfalfa contains calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and all known vitamins. The minerals are in a balanced, natural form that enhances absorption. Alfalfa is a superfood rich in nutrients, especially phytonutrients, chlorophyll and minerals.

Spirulina (Spirulina platensis) Complete protein

Spirulina is high in protein. It contains 20 of the 22 amino acids that makes up complete protein and is necessary for the body to build and maintain the structure of healthy tissue. Easily digested by even a compromised digestive system, Spirulina can lend a helping hand with not only protein but B vitamins including B12 as well as the proven immune enhancing……… With the Herbal Slim Kit we aim to nourish your body well so that it has the best change to become slim, strong and healthy.

Cleansa 120 caps

Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) Digestive support

Wormwood supports the secretion of digestive enzymes and bile from the liver. As it supports peristalsis Wormwood is ideal for maintaining healthy movement through the intestines. Healthy peristalsis aids digestion. It also improves elimination of toxins, minimizes liver problems and alleviates bowel congestion.

Psyllium (Plantago psyllium) Bulking fibre

Psyllium husks provide soluble dietary fibre that is not digested in the small intestine, but is partially broken down in the colon. Soluble fibre acts as a sponge, absorbing water and waste material in the bowels. This helps to clear toxins, preventing them from staying too long in the colon. Soluble fibre is not only very safe but highly beneficial as a natural alternative to some habit-forming laxatives. It also aids in reducing LDL cholesterol.

Cascara (Cascara sagrada) Easy elimination

Used for centuries because of its natural cleansing properties, cascara is one of the world’s most popular herbs formaintaining healthy elimination safely and naturally. Cascara sagrada nourishes and supports the sensitive tissues of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. This is an extremely bitter herb; bitter tastes send a message to the brain to stimulate digestive secretions that help to improve digestive function.

Fennel seed (Foeniculum vulgareSmooth digestion

For centuries the seeds have been utilized as a digestive aid to maintain normal function against flatulence and indigestion. Fennel seeds are included in Cleansa capsules to maintain abdominal comfort. ws
