How It Works

Completing the Ultimate Cleanse involves three stages: Preparation, Cleansing and Follow Up. They are flexibly designed for beginners and more advanced cleansers alike.

Preparation Stage:

For 3-7 days before beginning the Ultimate Cleanse you follow a cleansing diet that prepares your digestive system for the herbal formulas you take during the cleansing stage.

The main things to remember during this diet are to eliminate starches and processed foods while sticking mainly to fresh fruits, vegetables and juices, smoothies, soups and yoghurt. Below are complete lists of what foods to eliminate and what foods to include.

Our experience is that the better and longer you prepare, the better your overall results will be. The Ultimate Cleanse comes with a booklet that explains this stage in more detail and gives you 45 cleansing friendly recipes.

Foods to completely avoid:

  • All refined, processed, and packaged foods.
  • Breads, pasta, and other wheat-containing products.
  • All grains, seeds, crackers and snack bars.
  • All meats, including chicken.
  • All fried foods.
  • Eggs, nuts and baked beans.
  • Sweets, chocolate and soft drinks.
  • Bananas
  • Potatoes

Foods to be eaten very moderately:

  • Root vegetables (except potatoes).
  • Brown rice.
  • Steamed or tinned fish.
  • Hummus or tofu.
  • Cheese.
  • Pickles such as olives, gherkins, onions.
  • Supermarket juices.

Foods to be eaten freely:

  • All fresh fruits (except bananas).
  • Raw vegetables.
  • Vegetable soups (homemade).
  • Diluted fruit juices (homemade).
  • Vegetable juices (homemade).
  • Unsweetened yoghurt.
  • Herbal teas.
  • Cayenne, garlic and ginger.
  • Culinary herbs.
  • Pure water (2 litres daily).

It is best to gradually bring your diet into line with this regimen over a few days. First eliminate the refined foods (including bread, pasta, biscuits, cake and pastry) and fried foods. The next day eliminate meats and eggs. The next day drop the nuts and beans. This is the time stock up with fresh vegetables for making soups, plenty of garlic, chili, and spices.

Cleansing Stage:

During this stage you continue to follow the cleansing diet as outlined above and you take the 4 herbal formulas twice per day.

Since people are so unique and the response to herbs can vary greatly there are three options for taking the herbs. Choosing between these three can be the most important part of the process. You can actually switch between the options during the programme if this seems appropriate. You are your own best judge. You want to feel reasonably comfortable the entire time. It is normal however to experience twinges, a little bloating and even the odd mild cramp as you dislodge and move toxic impactions.

Option 1, Deep 10 day cleanse
Ideal for the average healthy person. This is by far the most popular option as it suits the average person well.
On rising and again at bedtime 5 capsules of each of the four products.

Option 2, Gentle 25 day cleanse

For the unwell, elderly or obese. Sometimes a 25 day course followed by a 10 day course is needed. It all depends on how much your body needs a detox. It is worth taking the extra time.
On rising and again at bedtime 2 capsules of each of the four products.

Option 3, Maintenance 50 day cleanse
For long term use to gently encourage regularity.
On rising and again at bedtime 1 capsule of each of the four products.

Follow Up Stage:

After finishing the herbs you take acidophilus capsules for 3-4 days twice per day to help repopulate your intestines with positive bacteria. At this point you are free to eat as you desire, though it is very likely that some of your tastes and cravings will have changed. Many people find that food they used to like, especially “junk” food no longer appeals to them.

Some people choose to complete 2 or 3 10 day cleanses in a row until they achieve the health results they are looking for. Others choose to do a series of 4-6 cleanses in one year. There is no harm in cleansing regularly. In fact it may lead to a host of health benefits. You are the best judge of the pace you’d like to follow.

On this program you don’t have to starve or fast, or change your daily routines. All that’s required is to take herbal capsules twice daily and to eat a diet based on fresh cleansing foods.  Simple enough for anyone to do.
