Want to Cleanse Your Body of Toxins – Try These 4 Ways

There’s no doubt that cleansing and detox is very popular these days. I believe that is because it works really well. But many of the programs are radical and require days of fasting and other invasive procedures. Proper hydration – I know that it’s very basic, but I’m here to tell you that drinking plenty of pure water helps to body to release toxins. Water is vitally important to the lymph system, which is a network of vessels that works to move waste matter out of the body. It is important to drink only good, clear water. My choices are always distilled water or pure spring water. If that is not available to you, you can try reverse osmosis filtered water. Tap water is off limits, unless you live in a rural area, since most of it contains chemical toxins like chlorine. It’s easy to get enough water per day. Simply fill up a jar with 3-4 liters (about 2/3 to 3/4 of a gallon) and make sure to drink that throughout the day. If you live in a dry climate or sweat a lot with exercise or work, make sure to drink even more.

Exercise – Although it also seems very simple, getting a good strong cardio vascular workout in 3 times a week does wonders for cleansing. That’s because toxins get stored mostly in fat cells – to insulate them from more important cells in your body. By moving the fat through exercise you can not only lose weight buy also get rid of the harmful toxins that the fat houses. Running, jumping rope and rebounding are all good examples of cardio vascular exercises. Any exercise that both boosts your heart rate and makes you sweat will suffice. Go for 3 sessions at a minimum of 30 minutes each per week.

Sweating in a Sauna or Steam Bath – In just half an hour inside a sauna most people sweat out about 1 liter of liquid. In that liquid of course are toxins. Saunas have a long history of promoting health. Nearly every culture in the world has some ritualized form of a sauna. One of the most famous is the “sweat lodge” that comes from Native North America. Be sure to start slowly with sauna rounds. Try just 15 minutes in and 15 minutes out at first. The high temperatures of saunas can be dangerous for those with heart conditions. If this describes you, please consult your doctor first. I personally use infared saunas when possible – they work at lower temperatures and with the full spectrum of light.
